Step-by-step Tutorial
From download to your first finished app or website: everything you need to know to start creating with LocalIdea, completely offline.
Download and install LocalIdea
Go to the Download page, pick your platform (Windows, Linux or macOS) and run the installer. No account, no token, no cloud sign-up: once the installation finishes, LocalIdea is ready.
First launch: automatic hardware scan
On the very first start, the LocalIdea optimization engine measures your real hardware — memory, disk and processor — and configures everything by itself. You don't have to change any settings: from this moment on, every model you use will be tailored to your computer.
Get your first AI model
Download a GGUF model from the internet (this is the only step that needs a connection) or import one already on your PC with a single click. LocalIdea recognizes it, measures it and marks the ones that will run best on your hardware with the fast label; heavier models are automatically optimized in the background.
Describe your idea
Open a new project and simply write what you want to create, in your own words. You can attach documents or make plain text requests:
Preview and approve every change
While the assistant builds, you watch a live preview next to the chat. Every change the AI proposes goes through Approve/Reject: you see the difference and you decide. If you reject, everything goes back exactly as it was. If you code, you also have full access to the source in the Code view.
Export your finished result
When you're happy with the result, export it: apps become installers for Windows, Linux or macOS, websites become a zip ready to publish. The output is 100% yours, works without an internet connection and is saved directly in your local folder.
